 aly in Bangalore\, Alfonso Tagliaferri took part in the inauguration of th
 e new Tech Center of Marposs\, the Bologna-based company\, a global leader
  in the supply of state-of-the-art solutions for quality control and preci
 sion measurement\, operating in India since 1981.\n\n\n\nThe 400 square me
 tre space will host offices and a tech centre where customers will be able
  to take advantage of the company's most advanced technologies\, including
  the development of 'tailor-made' solutions for the specific needs of the 
 local market.\n\nMarposs India has a branch office in Delhi\, offices and 
 service centres in Gurgaon\, and is present in six other cities: Manesar\,
  Ahmedabad\, Chennai\, Jamshedpur\, Pune and Bangalore\; with 120 employee
 s it has a turnover of about 20 million Euros.\n\nThe most important busin
 ess sectors are automotive (about 50 per cent of the turnover)\, with the 
 remaining half divided between mechanical components and machine tool appl
 ications.\n\nFrancesco Possati\, Vice President of Marposs\, says: "Marpos
 s sees great potential in India\, for the reasons shared by the President 
 of the European Commission and the Indian Prime Minister a few days ago. T
 he opening of the Bangalore centre responds exactly to this need. The cent
 re will be the second in the world - after the one in California - focused
  on specific R&amp\;D activities on semiconductors and consumer electronic
 s\, leak tests on batteries\, and on the latest technologies for quality c
 ontrol of components for the aerospace industry".
