In the service of MSME Sector

Laghu Udyog Bharati is a not for profit pan India Organisation with the aim of empowering Micro and Small enterprises in the country since its formation in 1994. Today, it has the distinction of being one of the largest Industry networks with Chapters in all the 24 states of India and membership base of 55,000. At a national level, LUB endeavours to bring together like-minded industrialists and entrepreneurs to create a strong and progressive organisation that provides solutions to entrepreneurs with a national spirit. It also helps aspiring entrepreneurs to achieve their full potential through training programs by imparting new management techniques, technology know-how as well as to transfer of technology.

Laghu Udyog Bharati –Karnataka

Laghu Udyog Bharati – Karnataka (LUB-Karnataka), a chapter of LUB, works for the cause of micro and small enterprises across the state. LUB-Karnataka is currently present in 26 districts of Karnataka.

The organization aims at facilitating the growth and development of micro and small enterprises. It is a forum to exchange new ideas, best practices and collectively tackle problems facing both the industry as a whole and an enterprise in particular.

What started as a small discussion forum three decades ago with a group of passionate industrialists deliberating on issues related to the Micro and small enterprises, now stands as a mammoth organization with a strong voice in the corridors of power both at the national as well, the state government levels.

LUB-Karnataka is one of the State Chapters with over 2000 members.

To achieve the desired goal, LUB-K organises need based programs for the entrepreneurs in the state. Following are some of the programs :
* Entrepreneurial Development Programs.
* Industrial Visits.
* Mentoring for start-ups.
* Organising delegations to visit various countries.
* Skill Development programs.
* Financial Literacy Programs.
* Vendor Development programs with PSUs and Large Corporates.
* Opportunities in Waste Management.
* Food Processing.
Major initiatives of LUB-K is organising international exhibitions – India Manufacturing Show (IMS) TechBharat, GramaShilpi. The purpose of holding these exhibitions are to bring MSEs on the same platform with large PSUs and corporates in the manufacturing sector for a better B2B connect.

It has Chapters in 24 States across India and has a membership base of more than 55,000 enterprises spread across 960 district units throughout the country. Over 5,000 women entrepreneurs are part of Laghu Udyog Bharati membership base which in itself is a great achievement.

The Laghu Udyog Bharati logo symbolizes the organization’s mission to support and strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises in India with the principals of National interest and India first concept (Rashtrodharo Laghu Udyamai). The ultimate goal is to encourage entrepreneurship and self-employment in India.
